Anna Netrebko, birth name Anna Yuryevna Netrebko is a Russian operatic soprano singer born on September 18, 1971 in Krasnodar, Russia. Currently, she resides in Austria has a dual citizenship of Russia and Austria. She graduated from Saint Petersburg conservatoire and began her career in Mariinsky Theater where she was noticed by famous conductor Valery Gergiev. She debuted on the stage at the age of 22 as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro. Her performance was successful and she continued her career at first in Russia (namely in Kirov Opera) and later abroad - Riga Independent Opera Avangarda, the San Francisco Opera, the Metropolitan Opera, the Los Angeles Opera, Carnegie Hall, the Paris Opera, the Kennedy Center Honors and others.
