Biography: American pop punk and punk rock and hardcore punk band MxPx from Bremerton, Washington, USA, was formed in 1992. The band comprises Mike Herrera (Lead vocals, Bass Guitar, Keyboard), Tom Wisniewski (Lead Guitar, background vocals) and Yuri Ruley (drums, percussion, background vocals). Originally the group began as a Christian-grounded band under the name Magnified Plaid. They began playing music, which was inspired by various Southern California skate punk bands such as Descendents and NOFX. They achieved mainstream success in 1998 with their most successful album, Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo, which spawned the singles "The Downfall of the Western Civilization", "Invitation to Understanding", "Fist vs. Tact" and "What's Mine Is Yours".
