Modern Talking was a German Europop and Dancepop duo formed in 1984 by Dieter Bohlen and Thomas Anders. According to sales, the group has become the most popular and successful band in Germany. They reached the mainstream success right after the release of their debut single “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul” which reached the first place in 35 countries and sold 8 million copies. They continued releasing hit singles number one including Chery, Chery Lady, You Can Win if You Want, Brother Louis, Atlantis is Calling (S.O.S. for Love) and Geronimo’s Cadillac. In 1980s before the band’s break up, they were very popular in Europe, Asia, South America and Middle East. The group was unknown in North American countries and in the UK.
