Biography: Mirah Tom Yov Zeitlyn, known as Mirah is an American indie rock musician and singer-songwriter of Jewish origin born on September 17, 1974 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the United States. Mirah became interested in music in her early years and wrote the first song at the age of 4. She started her professional music career in 1997 releasing her debut album Storageland. The album was released by Yoyo Records. However, Marah moved to K Records in 1999. Since her debut, she has released 12 more records including 2 extended plays, collaborative albums (with Ginger Brooks Takashi and Black Cat Orchestra) and long plays. The last one is titled (a)spera. It was released in 2009. The album was critically acclaimed by some professional music medias, like Allmusic, Spin and Strange Glue.
