American industrial metal, alternative metal and thrash metal band Ministry from Chicago, Illinois, was formed in 1981. The band comprised Al Jourgensen, Tommy Victor, Tony Campos, Aaron Rossi, John Bechdel and Sin Quirin. Originally a synthpop outfit, the band changed its style to industrial metal in the late 1980s. They achieved mainstream success with their album, Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and the Way to Suck Eggs (1992), which yielded several singles such as "Jesus Built My Hotrod", "Just One Fix" and "N.W.O.". The album's single, "N.W.O.", was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance at the Grammy Awards of 1993. Other single, "Jesus Built My Hotrod", became the band's most popular song up to that point. It also reached number 19 on the U.S. Modern Rock Tracks chart.
