9. Mayhem is a Norwegian black metal band formed in Oslo, Norway, 1984. The band’s line-up has been changing through the years and the current one consists of Necrobutcher (bass guitar), Hellhammer (drums), Attila Csihar (vocals), Morfeus (guitars) and of Silmaeth (guitar). The band is considered to be one of the pioneers of the influential Norwegian black metal scene. Though the groups itself is seen as a big controversy. Their ex-vocalist Dead committed suicide, ex-guitarist Euronymous was murdered and the band is famous for its violent and cruel stage shows and performances. They have released six studio albums including Chimera and Ordo Ad Chao which entered the charts peaking at # 28 and at # 12 respectively.
