A Grammy nominee Maxwell was born on May 23, 1973, in Brooklyn, NY, US. He’s an American R’n’B singer who contributed a lot for neo-soul genre. He became prominent in 1996 with the release of his debut album Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite, it was certified 2 x platinum, and spawned a hit single Ascension (Don't Ever Wonder). He got the nomination for Grammy Awards for this album but didn’t win it. In 1999 Maxwell released his most successful single “Fortunate” which topped R’n’B charts. The last Maxwell’s album Blacksummers'night is already available on our site for downloading in mp3. The album spawned hit singles Pretty Wings (#1 on US R & B and #1 on US AC), Bad Habbits (#7 on US AC) and Cold (#62 on US R & B). During his career he made a cover for Al Green’s “Simply Beautiful” and appeared on several soundtracks.
