Biography: Marvin Sapp is an American gospel music singer-songwriter born in 1968 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the United States. He is the founder and senior pastor of Lighthouse Full Life Center Church. His wife MaLinda Sapp is the Administrative Pastor in the same church. Sapp began singing while he was a child and sang in a church choir. Later, he was a member of many Gospel groups and was invited to join Commissioned in 1991. He left the group in 1996 and embarked on solo career. He achieved the breakthrough success with his single "Never Would Have Made It". The single reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart, number 14 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and number 82 on the Billboard Hot 100.
