Maroon 5 are an American rock band. They come from Los Angeles, California and were formed in 2002. Before that they played in a garage band called Kara’s Flowers. The current line-up consists of Adam Levine,
James Valentine, Jesse Carmichael, Michael Madden, Matt Flynn. The group released their debut album Songs about Jane in 2002 but it began to top American charts only in 2004 and the group rose to fame. The album spawned hit singles like "Harder to Breathe", "This Love", "She Will Be Loved", and "Sunday Morning". In 2005 the group got 2 Grammy Awards as The Best New Artist and for the song My Love.
