American heavy metal and groove metal band Machine Head from Oakland, California, was formed in 1992. The group's current line-up comprises Flynn (vocals, guitar), Duce (bass), Phil Demmel (guitar), and Dave McClain (drums). Originally, the act was founded by Robb Flynn who previously was a member of both Forbidden and Vio-lence bands. In the beginning, they performed as an opening act for various popular bands. In the early 1990s, the signed a contract with Roadrunner and started recording their debut album, Burn My Eyes, which was released in 1994. They are also heavily influenced by the music style of Deep People. They achieved mainstream in the late 1990s with their second studio album, The More Things Change..., which produced several singles such as "Ten Ton Hammer", "Take My Scars", "The Possibility of Life's Destruction", "My Misery" and "Colors".
