Lifehouse is an American alternative rock, pop rock and post-grunge band formed in 1999 in Los Angeles, California, the United States. The current band’s line-up composes of Jason Wade (lead vocals, guitar), Rick Woolstenhulme Jr. (drums, percussion), Bryce Soderberg (bass guitar) and Ben Carey (guitar). The band rose to fame with a release of their debut album No Name Face. The album was released in 2000 through DreamWorks Records. It was certified 2 x Platinum in the United States and Platinum in Canada. The album was supported by a hit single "Hanging by a Moment" and by minor singles "Sick Cycle Carousel" and "Breathing". The album Smoke and Mirrors (2010) reached number 6 on the Billboard 200.
