Biography: Mark Lavon Helm (known as Levon Helm) is an American musician (drummer) and often vocalist in the rock group The band. He was born on May 26, 1940 in Marvell, Arkansas. As The Band broke up, Helm decided to begin a solo career and in 1980 he released his first solo album. In 1982 he issued his second record and was silent till 2007 when Dirt Farmer was released. It is dedicated to his parents and his daughter Amy took part in producing it. You can download this Levon Helm’s album from our site in mp3. The album was co-produced by his daughter Amy and contains songs written by Steve Earle, Paul Kennerley and others. Helm participated in the recording of Jorma Kaukonen's album River of Time (he played drums). The last Helm’s release happened in June 2009.
