Italian pop and pop rock singer–songwriter and record producer Laura Pausini was born on 16 May 1974, Solarolo, Ravenna, Italy. She emerged on the Italian pop scene when she was only 19 years old with her self-titled debut album, which was certified platinum seven times in Italy. She continued the success with her second multi-platinum album, Laura.
