Ladytron is a British electro pop and New Wave group formed in Liverpool, England, the UK in 1999. The band’s line-up is multinational. The band was founded by two DJs and musicians Reuben Wu (Chinese) and Daniel Hunt (Englishman). Later they met at one of their concerts Mira Aroyo, a Bulgarian who appeared to be very talented vocalist. Mira’s friend from Glasgow, Scotland, Helen Marnie joined the band on vocals and keyboards. Music critics label the band as electroclash. During the live performances, they use drum machine, live guitars and synthesizers. Their music combines retro stylistic and pop sound, which can be called experimental. The band has released 4 studio albums. The last their album is Velocifero was released in 2008.
