Biography: Kings of Convenience is a Norwegian indie pop and indie folk duo from Bergen, Norway, formed in 1999. The duo composes of Erlend Øye and of Eirik Glambek Bøe. Their music is characterized by calm voices and refined melodies. Erlend and Eirik know each other since age of ten. They played together in a band Skog which broke up and later they formed a duo. During their career, they have released three studio albums and one remix album. The debut album Quiet is the New Loud came out in 2001 and was produced by Ken Nelson (Coldplay). The album has become a breakthrough for the duo. It reached number one on the Norwegian chart and charted abroad, namely in the UK and in France. Second album Riot on an Empty Street extended the geography of their listeners. The album appeared on the U.S. indie charts. You can download this album by Kings of Convenience in mp3 from our site.
