Kenny Wayne Shepherd, birth name Kenny Wayne Brobst is an American blues guitarist, singer and songwriter born on June 12, 1977, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Guitar World ranked him number 3 after B.B. King and Eric Clapton in their list of popular blues artists. Shepherd has experienced commercial success at the beginning of his career, which started in 1995. Three of his five albums were certified Platinum. He has released several singles, which hit the top 10 on the Mainstream Rock chart, including such songs as "Deja Voodoo", "Slow Ride", "Somehow, Somewhere, Someway", "Blue on Black", "In 2 Deep" and some others. He has shared the stage with his idols like B.B. King, Hubert Sumlin, opened for Lynyrd Skynyrd, for the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Bob Dylan and Eagles.
