Katherine Jenkins is a Welsh mezzo-soprano crossover and classical singer born on June 29, 1980 in Neath, Wales, the UK. Since her childhood she was learning how to play piano and was learning singing. She was a good pupil at school receiving A Grades for the exams. She was a member of the National Youth Choir of Wales and won BBC Radio 2 Award for Welsh Choirgirl of the Year. She graduated from Royal Academy of Music where she studied French, German, Italian and Russian and received a music teacher’s diploma. During her recording career, she has released seven studio albums and almost all of them reached number one on the UK Classical chart. In the middles of the 2000s she released three consecutive Platinum albums. She sang in front of Queen Elizabeth II.
