American hip hop and R&B singer-songwriter and record producer Kanye West (birth name Kanye Omari West) was born on June 8, 1977, in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S. He became famous by producing for Roc-A-Fella Records, where he achieved recognition for his work on Jay-Z's album, The Blueprint, as well as hit singles for Alicia Keys, Ludacris, and Janet Jackson. In 2004, Kanye West released the debut album, The College Dropout, which you may download in mp3 from our site. It produced five singles, "Through the Wire", "Slow Jamz", "All Falls Down", "Jesus Walks" and "The New Workout Plan". The album also received a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year and won Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song. His second album, Late Registration, was released in 2005. It won several awards, including the Grammy Award for "Best Rap Album". The album yielded the number-one hit single "Gold Digger" (feat. Jamie Foxx) and the award winning singles "Diamonds from Sierra Leone", with Jay-Z, and "Touch the Sky" with Lupe Fiasco.
