John Winston Ono Lennon, known mostly as John Lennon (9 October 1940 – 8 December 1980) is a world famous English rock musician, singer-songwriter and peace activist. First of all he’s known as the founder member of a cult band Beatles. He and Paul McCartney formed one of the most successful songwriting duos and wrote some of the best rock and roll songs of all time. After the Beatles broke up, Lennon had a very successful solo career. He produced such iconic songs like Give Peace a Chance and Imagine which you can download from our site in mp3. The last John Lennon’s album Double Fantasy was released one month before his murder. The album got Grammy as the Best Album of the Year. Lennon was inducted in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. According to BBC poll 100 Greatest Brits, John Lennon took the 8th place.
