Biography: American singer and songwriter John Hiatt was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, US on August 20, 1952. During his lifetime he enjoyed various musical styles, the most proffered ones were blues, new wave and country. He took up working as a song-writer and gained his first recognition as an author of the song "Sure As I'm Sitting Here" which was recorded by Three Dog Night and was as high as number 16 on the Billboard chart in 1974. Then there came a long period of failures that resulted in break up with record labels and oblivion. In 1987, Hiatt finally regained his success with the big hit Bring the Family. Following it, Hiatt released eighteen albums many of which were in the Billboard 200. Having started with new wave and rock & roll he eventually worked out his own style and came up with a genuine mix of folk, country, blues and rock & roll. His songs have been covered by many popular artists in a few genres. You can download John Hiatt’s Best Hits in mp3 from our site.
