Biography: American alternative rock, experimental rock, funk rock and avant-garde singer, songwriter, and record producer John Frusciante was born on March 5, 1970. At the age of eleven, he began to play guitar. He was influenced by Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix. Later, he was very impressed by Frank Zappa. And he could study his works for many hours every day. At the age of sixteen, he dropped out of high school because he decided to be an artist. His parents were not angry with John. And later, with the support of his parents, he moved to Los Angeles. He entered to the Guitar Institute of Technology, where he started taking classes. But later, he decided to develop his musical skills himself and he left this institute. He achieved mainstream success in 1997 with his album, Smile from the Streets You Hold, which yielded the singles, "I'm Always", "Nigger Song" and "Femininity".
