John Denver (December 31, 1943 – October 12, 1997) birth name Henry John Deutschendorf, Jr. was an American country/folk music singer-songwriter and folk rock musician. He was one of the most popular acoustic artists in 1970s according to record sales. He was also referred as "The Poet for the Planet" and "Mother Nature's Son". He was fully recognized by the music industry society as he received two Grammy Awards, was inducted in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, won three American Music Awards and got the Academy of Country Music Award. During his career he released many albums and the most popular one is Back Home Again. It reached the status of 3 x Multi-Platinum. He produced many singles number one, they are Sunshine on My Shoulders, Annie’s Song, Back Home Again, Sweet Surrender, I’m Sorry and some others.
