Joseph Satriani, known better as Joe Satriani and Satch was born on July 15, 1956 in Westbury, New York, the United States. He is an American multi-instrumentalist known primary as the virtuoso instrumental rock guitarist who was nominated for Grammy Awards. During his career he has worked with such famous artists like Mick Jagger (lead guitar during his solo tour), Deep Purple (lead guitar), Steve Vai, Brian May and many others. He in influenced by such icons of the rock music like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck. He is a successful solo artist having released twelve studio albums. The best-selling and the most popular his album is 1987 record titled Surfing with the Alien. The album was certified Platinum in the USA.
