Jefferson Airplane was an American rock band from San Francisco formed in 1965. The band broke up in 1974 and reunited in 1989 for a final tour and “reunion album”. The band’s line-up wasn’t stable and the original members were Signy Toly Anderson – vocals, Marty Bolin – vocals, rhythm guitar, Paul Kantner – rhythm guitar, vocals, Jorma Kaukonen – lead vocals, guitar, Bob Harvey – bass guitar and Jerry Peloquin – drums. The band was a psychedelic rock pioneer and the first band from San Francisco to achieve the mainstream success. The band was recognized internationally with help of their hits “Somebody to Love” and “White Rabbit”. These songs are listed in the Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All time.
