Shawn Corey Carter known as Jay-Z was born on December 4, 1969 in Brooklyn, New York, the U.S. He’s one of the most successful American hip hop artists and businessmen (he was CEO of Def Jam Records and now he’s co-owner of the NBA club New Jersey Nets). He has sold more then 26 million albums in the US and got several Grammys. Eight of his albums were on the top spot of the Billboard Top 200. During his career he collaborated with numerous artists including Beyoncé (his wife), Linkin Park, Kanye West, R. Kelly, Coldpay and Rihanna.
