Iron Butterfly is an American psychedelic rock band formed in San Diego, California, the United States in 1966. The original band members were Doug Ingle (vocals, keyboards), Jack Pinney (drums), Greg Willis (bass), and Danny Weis (guitar). The current line-up doesn’t feature anyone from the original members - Ron Bushy, Lee Dorman, Charlie Marinkovich and Martin Gerschwitz. The band rose to fame in 1968 when they released their hit album In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, which was certified 4 x Platinum in the US and reached number 4 on the Billboard 200. The album has become 31-st best selling album in the world with about 25 million copies. The album spawned same-titled single, which has become the most famous and popular band’s song.
