Indochine is a new wave/rock band from Paris, France formed in 1981.The current members are Nicola Sirkis, Marc Eliard, Boris Jardel, Olivier Gérard, François Soulier (Mr Shoes), andFrançois Matuszenski (Matu). They are very popular in France and began their breakthrough from Dizzidence Politik and Françoise. Later they could achieve the popularity in Europe and in Latin America with such hit singles as L'Aventurier and Canary Bay. But in 90s their albums weren’t commercial successful. Come back happened in 2002 with a release of Paradize. The hit single "J'ai demandé à la lune topped the charts and the group could sell about 1 million copies. In 2005 they collaborated with Brian Molko from Placebo and recorded together Alice & June. Their last work was released in 2009. It’s titled La République des Meteors.
