Illuminate is a German dark-wave and electro gothic band coming from Karlsruhe, Germany. The band was formed in 1993 by Johannes Berthold. The current line-up composes of Johannes Berthold – vocals, keyboards, piano, Conny Schindler – operatic female vocals, Jörn Langenfeld - guitar and Johannes Knees – keyboards. The band is considered one of the most popular on the gothic and dark-wave German scene along with Lacrimosa, Das Ich, Endraum and Goethes Erben. The band has released quite a number of albums. The debut one Verfall was released in 1996. The last one Ohne Worte came out in 2009. In addition to this, they have released compilation albums – 10 x 10 – Schwarz and 10 x 10 Weiss. You can download these album by Illuminate in mp3 from our site. 10 x 10 means that the band was 10 years old and that each CD contained 10 tracks.
