Ian Scott Anderson, better known as just Ian Anderson was born on August 10, 1947 in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland. He is a Scottish singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is primary known as the leader of the British rock band Jethro Tull. He plays different instruments including flute, balalaika, mandolin, harmonica, soprano saxophone, keyboards, bass and others. He is associated with Jethro Tull, however, he has released several records under his own name, though he didn’t reach any significant popularity. One of his recent projects is titled Ian Anderson Plays the Orchestral Jethro Tull. You can download this album by Ian Anderson in mp3 from our site. He collaborated with various musicians, like Blackmore’s Night, Canadian band Honeymoon Suite, Uriah Heep, and others. Anderson is the Member of the Order of the British Empire.
