Hoobastank is an American rock band formed in Agoura Hills, California, the United States in 1994. Current band’s line-up consists of Doug Robb (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Dan Estrin (lead guitar), Chris Hesse (drums) and of Jesse Charland (bass). The band has released six studio albums and The Reason issued in 2003 has become the most successful one to date. It got the 2 x Platinum certificate by RIAA. The album spawned such singles as The Reason which is the most popular band’s song having reached number one on US Adult and US Alternative charts, Same Direction, Disapper. The Reason also reached number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and charted in other countries like Australia, Germany, Italy and Canada. Thus The Reason can be considered a mass worldwide hit.
