Heather Headley is a Trinidadian R&B soul singer, songwriter, record producer and actress, born on October 5, 1974 in Barataria, Trinidad and Tobago. She has been interested in music since her childhood. When she was four, she began playing her native music, like reggae, calypso and soca. At the age of 15, her family moved to the United States following her father’s job. She began her career in entertaining from the Broadway musicals. The title role in Aida earned her Tony Award for Best Actress in 2000. She began her music career in 2002 releasing her debut album This is Who I Am. The album earned her two Grammy nominations, however, she didn’t won any of them. The second album In My Mind came out in 2006. It spawned a hit single “In My Mind”. The third and album Audience of One was released in 2009. The album won Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album. You can download this album by Heather Headley in mp3 from our site.
