American powerpop, electropunk and dance-punk band Head Automatica from Long Island, New York, was formed in 2004. The band comprises Daryl Palumbo (vocals), Craig Bonich (guitar), Jarvis Holden (bass), Sammy Siegler (drums) and Jessie Nelson (keyboards). They rose to fame in 2004 with their breakthrough debut album, Decadence, which was released by Warner Bros. Records and was produced by Dan 'The Automator' Nakamura. Their follow-up album, Popaganda, was released in 2006. The album produced several singles such as "Laughing at You", "Graduation Day", "Lying Through Your Teeth", "Nowhere Fast" and "Scandalous". The video for "Graduation Day" made it to number 4 on the MTV2 Rock Countdown in the summer of 2006, and was also number 2 on the Sirius Alternative Nation TOP 21 countdown.
