Grim Reaper is a British heavy metal band formed in Droitwich, England in 1979 by guitarist Nick Bowcott. During its career the band came through lineup changes and the current members are Steve Grimmett (lead vocals), Pete Newdeck (drums), Chaz Grimaldi (bass), Ian Nash (guitars). The band rose to fame after winning the contest The Battle of the Bands where about 100 band took part. Grim Reaper were signed to Darryl Johnston's Ebony Records and released their debut album See You in Hell which was released internationally as well. They embarked on the world tour and the reached commercial success playing in front of the crowd of 20,000 people. Their next album Fear No Evil was released in 1985 and enjoyed some success in the United States and in Europe. The group disbanded in 1988 but they reformed in 2006.
