Goldfrapp are an English electronic duo formed in London, England, the UK in 1999 by Alison Goldfrapp (vocals, synthesizers) and Will Gregory (synthesizers). Alsion was introduced to Gregory in 1999 and after a music session they decided to form a group and began performing under Alison’s last name. They signed a deal with Mute Records and released their debut album Felt Mountain in 2000. During their career, they have released five studio albums, one compilation album, five extended plays and more than 20 singles. The band’s best selling album is their 2005 release titled Supernature. The album reached number 2 on the UK Albums chart and was certified Platinum in the UK and Gold in Ireland.
