Glay is a Japanese pop-rock band formed in 1988 in Hakodate, Hokkaidō, Japan. The band was founded by guitarist Takuro and vocalist Teru when they were still in high school. Since that time the band proved to be one of the most popular artists of all time in Japan. They are the 7 best selling artists in Japan with 37 million copies sold. The band composes of Teru – vocals, Takuro – guitar (band leader and primary songwriter), Hisashi – guitar and Jiro – bass. The band released their debut album Hai to Diamond in 1994. In total they released 11 albums. The last one is self-titled album Glay that came out in 2010. The previous album Life is Beautiful came out in 2007 and reached number one on the Oricon charts. They write not only their songs, they band covered With or Without You (U2), Mother Nature's Son (The Beatles), SUFFRAGETTE CITY (David Bowie) and some others.
