Geraldine Estelle "Geri" Halliwell, better known as Geri Halliwell or Sexy Spice, Ginger Spice and Ginger was born on August 6, 1972 in Watford, Hertfordshire, England, United Kingdom. She is an English pop, pop rock and dance pop singer, songwriter, author and philanthropist. Halliwell rose to the international fame as a member of super popular girls group Spice Girls. Despite the great popularity, she left the group in 1998 because of depression and differences that appeared between her and other group members. She embarked on a solo career in 1999 releasing her debut solo album Schizophonic. The album was very popular and reached number 4 on the UK albums chart.
