Fridge is an English post-rock band, coming from Putney, London, the UK. It was formed in 1995 by school friends Kieran Hebden, Adem Ilhan and Sam Jeffers. Originally Hebden played guitar, Ilhan was on bass and Jeffers on drums but later Hebden and Ilhan learned to play other instruments. The band has released five albums – Ceefax (1997), Semaphore (1998), Eph (1999), Happiness (2001) and The Sun (2007). The last band’s album was released under Text Records. It was noticed by some professional music medias and received positive reviews. Allmusic gave it four out five stars and Twisted Ear ranked the album the same. The band also worked as backing musicians for Bad Drawn Boy. They also remixed his track Another Pearl. The band took part in 2007 Field Day Festival in Victoria Park, London.
