The Free Design is an American vocal band. It was formed in Delevan, New York. Their music genre can be described like mix of jazzy, pop-music and rock-music. From 1967 to 1972, members of the band were the entire Dedrick family: Chris, Sandy, Bruce, etc. Their father was a trombonist. Their uncle was a jazz trumpeter. During this time Free Design released seven albums such as "You Could Be Born Again", "Stars/Time/Bubbles/Love", "Kites Are Fun: The Best Of The Free Design", "One By One", etc. In 1972, the band broke up. After nearly 30-years break The Free Design was re-grouped. The last band's album, Cosmic Peekaboo, was released in 2001.
