Freddie Mercury, birth name Farrokh Bulsara was born on September 5, 1946 in Stone Town, Zanzibar and died on November 24, 1991 in Kensington, London, the UK. He was a British singer-songwriter, musician and producer best known for being the frontman of the legendary rock band Queen. As a songwriter he has composed such Queen hits like Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, Somebody to Love, Don’t Stop Me Know, Crazy Little Thing Called Love and We Are the Champions. Queen’s greatest hits albums is the best selling one in the UK of all time. Besides his work in Queen, he was also a solo artist releasing two studio albums Mr. Bad Guy and Barcelona. Some of his most famous solo songs are Barcelona (with Montserrat Caballé), I Was Born to Love You, Made in Heaven, The Great Pretender and some others.
