Empire of the Sun is an Australian electronic duo project which consists of Nick Littlemore (Pnau) and Luke Steele (The Sleepy Jackson). Their cooperation began in 2007 and the debut single titled "Walking on a Dream" was released in 2008. It got heavy radio play and reached the 10th position in ARIA Singles Chart. Short after this Empire of the Sun issued their first album named after the main song "Walking on a Dream". The second single from the album was "We are the People". The duo could make videos for both of these singles, they filmed them in Mexico and in China. According to ARIA the album got the platinum status as well as the main single. The second single got the Gold certificate. The duo was included in the sound of 2009 poll on BBC’s site and at the end they took the forth position.
