American pop and contemporary R&B singer Elliott Yamin was born on July 20, 1978, in Los Angeles, California, United States. He is well known for his participation in the fifth season of American Idol. In 2007, he released his breakthrough self-titled debut album, which produced his most successful hits such as "Movin' On", "Wait for You", "One Word" and "A Song for You".
