Sir Edward William Elgar, 1st Baronnet (2 June 1857 Lower Broadheath, Worcestershire, England – 23 February 1934 Little Malvern, England) was an English composer. He was also a trainee solicitor, conductor, and violinist. Being a young man he was a violinist in Worcestershire where he arranged many works of Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven. He composed the music there as well, but it was discovered only in 1996. His one of the most well-known works is Salut d’Amour which he composed for his wife. At the age of 42 he produced his first orchestra work Enigma Variations. Between 1901 and 1930 he composed Pomp and Circumstance Marches he’s best known for. His other famous works are Symphony No 1, The Violin concerto in B minor, Symphony No. 2 and Organ Sonata. You can download from our site compilation of well known Edward Elgar’s works in mp3.
