Electric Six is a band coming from Detroit, Michigan, the United States. The band’s sound can be describes as rock music with different elements from garage, disco, new wave and metal, thus they can be considered as alternative rock, new wave, dance-punk and many other subgenres. The band was formed in 1996 under the name The Wildbunch but they had to change it because of the pressure from the same-named Bristol-based band. The current line-up composes of Dick Valentine (vocals), The Colonel (guitar), Johnny Na$hinal (guitar), Smorgasbord! (bass), Tait Nucleus? (keyboards) and Percussion World (drums). The band achieved the mainstream success in 2003 releasing a single “Danger! High Voltage”. The song appeared to be a big hit especially in the UK.
