Edward John Izzard known better as Eddie Izzard is a British stand-up comedian born on February 7, 1962 in Aden, Yemen (his father was an accountant working for British Petroleum in Yemen). He was kicked off his accountancy degree course and had to continue his stand-up on the street. During the 80s he was working as street performer in Europe and in the United States and in 1987 he appeared in the Comedy Store for the first time. He quickly rose to fame and his stand-up work earned him British Comedy Award in 1993. Two his most famous works are Dress to Kill and Definite Article. He describes himself as male homosexual and "a lesbian trapped in a man's body".
