Eagles of Death Metal are an American rock band from Palm Desert, California, the United States in 1998. Despite its name the band doesn’t play death metal. The band’s line-up composes of two original members Jesse Hughes (vocals, guitar, percussion) and of Josh Homme (drums, percussion, guitar, bass, keys, vocals). The band is backed up by live musicians Dave Catching (guitar), Brian O’Connor (bass, vocals) and of Joey Castillo (drums). During its career, the band has released three studio albums. The debut album, “Peace, Love, Death Metal” was released in 2004 under the AntAcidAudio label. The album hasn’t charted in the US. However, it became quite popular in Australia, Belgium and Germany. The band’s last album Heart On released in 2008 became their best charting record in America, reaching number 57 on the Billboard 200.
