Doris Mary Anne von Kappelhoff, better known under her stage name Doris Day, born on April 3, 1922 in Cincinatti, Ohio, the United states, is an American actress and singer. Being a good dancer, comedian and having vocal abilities, she has become one of the biggest box-office stars in the American history. She is the top box-office female star being the 6th in the list of All-Time Number One Stars which includes mostly men. As an actress she rose to fame starring in many romantic comedies, like Pillow Talk, Lover Come Back, Send Me No Flowers and many others. She has made a successful television career, making The Doris Day Show. During her music career she has released twenty two studio albums since 1949. Some of her most popular hits are Everybody Loves a Lover, Gus is a Guy, Fly Me to the Moon, Pillow Talk, When I Fall in Love and many others.
