DJ Tiësto, also known as Tiësto, birth name Tijs Michiel Verwest, is a Dutch DJ and record producer of electronic music. He was born on January 17, 1969 in Breda, North Brabant, Netherlands. He’s one of the most popular, respected and famous DJs of the world and talented composer. He began creating music at the age of 12 and during the student parties he was already at the turntables. The first his major success on the music scene happened when he was a salesman in the music store Basic Beat. During that time he met many people from the music industry and got invitations from European clubs. His employer offered him to create a compilation album and Verwest agreed. This event boosted him to the further music career. In 1995 he decided to begin a music career seriously and the first breakthrough success happened at the Innercity festival in Amsterdam.
