David Jon Gilmour known as David Gilmour was born on March 6, 1946 in Cambridge, England. He is an English musician, guitarist and best known as lead singer, guitarist and one of the main songwriters in the rock band Pink Floyd. He also made a career as a solo artist and was working as a record producer for several artists. Besides guitar, he plays bass, keyboards, harmonica and drums. The Rolling Stone magazine ranked him number 83 on the list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. He was a record producer and even sound engineer for such famous musicians like Paul McCartney, Elton John, B.B. King, Bob Dylan, The Who, Kate Bush, Tom Jones and many others.
