The Dave Clark Five was an English pop rock band formed in 1959 in Tottenham, London, the UK. The band was founded by Dave Clark who played drums. The other members were Mike Smith – vocals and keyboards, Lenny Davidson – lead guitar, Rick Huxley – bass guitar, Denny Payton - saxophone, harmonica and guitar. Dave Clark was also a main songwriter. The band was the only one rival of the Beatles and became the second British band to have a chart hit in the United States. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their most popular songs are "Glad All Over" (knocked down Beatles from the top of the chart), "Bits and Pieces" (reached number 2), "Catch Us If You Can", "Can't You See That She's Mine" and some others.
