Das Ich is a German electronic band formed in 1989 in Bavaria, Germany. The band’s style can be characterized as dark wave, electro industrial, neue deutsche todeskunst. Neue DeutscheTodeskunst (New German Death Art) is a musical movement in Germany during the 1990s. Das Ich has contributed a lot to this movement. The band’s name refers to Freud’s concept and means “ego”. The band composes of two permanent members – Bruno Kramm (music, back vocals) and Stefan Ackermann (lyrics, vocals). During their career, they have released quite a number of albums. The debut release “Satanische Verse” (Satanic poems) was released in 1990. The last album “Cabaret” came out in 2006.
